Speaking of “The Death of the Liberal Class” compare the two speeches hot linked above. The complete Markos Moulitsas Zúñiga speech can be found here:

Interesting how Zúñiga’s birthday is listed on Wikipedia as Sept 11, 1971. Sept 11, 1973 in Chile when fascists, military, (backed by CIA / US corporate investors) bombed their own government bldg, killing democratically elected socialist president Salvador Allende.

In the CommonWealth Club speech he states CIA employees are actually liberal internationalists and a force for “world stability.” He says that he started training at the CIA to be a “secret agent” in 2001 and finished his training when the Howard Dean campaign took off, which was in 2003. He also mockingly/jokingly makes reference to the assassination of labour leaders in Latin America… and this guy is suppose to be a “liberal” Democratic blogger? He sounds like an anti-intellectual psychopath and thug. Obviously a left gatekeeper and controlled opposition. Beyond that, it sounds like he’s suffering from a form of deranged criminal insanity one read about taking place during the last days of the Roman Empire.

Markos Moulitsas Zúñiga is also probably rank-and-file Digerati TED (Technology, Entertainment, Design Conference) – kool-aid drinking capitalists who think hi-tech is going to “save” the world. TED is just another white-collar corporate cult. Once had a similar type of brainwashed person tell me that the internet was an “essential utility” and then proceeded to compare it to running water! The frightening part was, he wasn’t joking!

Btw, TED recently featured a speech by Clinton-era war criminal Madeleine Albright.

Critical thinking is beyond the ability of creatures such as these. Logical argument and rational discussion are beyond the ability of those who choose to remain intentionally ignorant and unconscious. They are not interested in facts or any version of truth; even a collective truth which arises out of conflict resolution techniques. They are only interested in claiming moral and psychological victory for reasons of sheer pettiness, egoism, avarice or because of some form of psychological abberation – like sadism. They’ll hide behind logical incoherence or other forms of depersonalized abstraction to justify that which is not justifiable. Unfortunately, one side cannot spend a life time re-educating the other side in any “conflict” or in conflict resolution techniques. This is one of the important lessons for adult survivors dealing with child abuse issues: do not waste time rehabilitating the abuser. This was also one of the lessons of the Sandinista Revolution of 1979: dialogue with the Anastasio Somoza dictatorship was impossible; it only served to strengthen the dictator’s hand.
